Cambridge United and Greater Anglia have extended their partnership through to the end of the 2026-27 season.
The renewal sees rail service, Greater Anglia remain as an official partner and sponsor of The Habbin Stand, and comes following the opening of Cambridge South Station to provide further transport connections.
Cambridge’s Head of Commercial, Neil Rowe is “delighted” to see both club and Greater Anglia agree a new renewal for this season, as he praised the service for providing a much needed link to communities that the club represents.
“They are a fantastic organisation that has a genuine connection with the communities we represent, and it’s exciting to be renewing our relationship at such an important time for Cambridge.
“The opening of Cambridge South is a significant moment for the city, improving connectivity and creating new opportunities for people across the region. As a Club at the heart of Cambridge, we understand the importance of bringing people together, and that is something we share with Greater Anglia.
“We’re also proud that the Habbin Stand will continue to carry the Greater Anglia name. It is a stand full of history and character, and we’re pleased to have a partner who continues to support the Club and our supporters.”
Greater Anglia’s Head of Stations North West, Mike Barry added: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Cambridge United and the official sponsorship of the iconic Habbin Stand for the 2026/27 season.
“The opening of the new Cambridge South station in June has opened up even easier rail access for the U’s fans to move both around the city and the wider country easily, helping them to travel to and from the games whether they’re playing at home or away.”
Cambridge currently sit fifth in League One after eight matches, in which they have registered three wins, four draws and one defeat in a strong start to the campaign after their promotion from League Two this summer.
