Tottenham Hotspur have signed forward, Omar Marmoush on loan from Manchester City.
Marmoush’s loan move comes after a successful 20 months at City where he registered 16 goals and five assists in 62 appearances, and achieved a domestic cup double last season as the Cityzens won Carabao Cup and FA Cup titles.
The Egypt international however is keen to become a regular starter rather than play second-fiddle to Erling Haaland, which led City to sanction his loan to Tottenham, albeit with a £50m fixed fee plus £10m in add-ons mandatory buy clause if certain conditions are met.
Marmoush is looking forward to the season ahead wearing the number 22 shirt and playing under Roberto De Zerbi in the Italian’s first full season as Head Coach of the club.

“Tottenham Hotspur is one of the biggest clubs in England, if not the world, and the project was very attractive to me.
“I’ve spoken with the Head Coach, I loved what he had to say and I’m sure our passion for the game will go very well together.”
De Zerbi added: “Omar is exactly the kind of player we want at this club – ambitious, hungry and determined to make a difference.
“He has incredible attacking quality but what I also love is his desire to improve and to win.
“He brings pace, intelligence and a real threat in front of goal, and I believe he can take our attacking play to another level.”
Marmoush began his senior career at Egypt’s Wadi Degla where he netted three goals in 18 appearances, having made his debut in a 3-2 win over Al Ittihad Alexandria Club in June 2016 as a substitute.
He then joined VfL Wolfsburg where he spent much of his time with their reserve squad between 2017-21, during which he spent time on loan at St. Pauli and VfB Stuttgart in the 2020-21 & 21-22 seasons across which he scored 10 goals in 42 combined appearances.
Marmoush eventually broke through into Wolfsburg’s first-team squad in the 2022-23 season with six goals in 36 appearances, which led Eintracht Frankfurt to sign him on a free transfer at the end of that season.
His time at Frankfurt proved successful on a personal level as he netted 17 goals in 41 appearances in the 23-24 season, which was followed by 20 goals in 26 appearances in the first half of the 24-25 season and led City to sign him in January 2025.
At international level, Marmoush represents Egypt and has scored 11 goals in 55 caps since his senior debut in which he scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Libya in October 2021.
