Inter Milan have signed midfielder, Curtis Jones from Liverpool for £30m.
Having graduated through Liverpool’s academy, Jones made his first-team debut in January 2019 in a 2-1 loss at Wolves in the third round of the 2018-19 FA Cup.
He has since gone on to score 22 goals in 228 appearances and achieve seven titles during his time on Merseyside;
- 2 x Premier League (2019-20, 24-25)
- 2 x EFL Cup (2021-22, 23-24)
- 1 x FA Cup (2021-22)
- 1 x FA Community Shield (2022)
- 1 x FIFA Club World Cup (2019)
Liverpool however opted to sell him this summer rather than risk losing him on a free transfer once his contract expires on 30 June 2027, with Inter having seen a £30m total package accepted – which consisted of a £25.7m fixed fee plus £4.3m in add-ons.
The 25-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year contract with Inter until June 2031, meaning that he could feature at Inter and AC Milan’s joint new stadium if it opens on time for the 2030-31 season replacing the San Siro.
Jones represents England at international level and was part of their UEFA Under-21s Euro title success in 2023, before he went on to score one goal in six senior caps – which came on his debut in a 3-0 away victory over Greece in November 2024 in their UEFA Nations League B campaign.
