Crystal Palace have signed right wing-back, Anan Khalaili from Union Saint-Gilloise in a £21m transfer.

Khalaili had previously been the subject of interest from Inter Milan this summer but failed mandatory medical test at the Italian club, which allowed Palace to swoop in with a £21m offer which was agreed once he passed his medical.

The 21-year-old’s move also followed a breakthrough 2025-26 season in which he produced six goals and assists apiece in 52 appearances in all competitions, as Union Saint-Gilloise (USG) won the Belgian Cup

Khalaili has signed a five-year contract at Palace until June 2031 with a club option for a further one-year extension, and is looking forward for a new experience.

“I’m happy to be here, I’m excited, and I can’t wait to start.

“I’ve followed the Premier League – it’s a new challenge for me – and I’ve followed Crystal Palace for a long time. I’m happy to be here.”

Palace chairman, Steve Parish added: “We are very excited to have completed this signing and we are delighted that Anan has chosen to continue his journey with Crystal Palace.”

Khalaili began his career at Beitar Haifa between 2012-14 before he moved to Maccabi Haifa where he graduated into their first-team squad and made his debut in February 2022 in a 2-0 win over Hapoel Hadera in the Israel State Cup.

He then spent the 2022-23 season with their Under-21s team before he became a regular in the 2023-24 season with 15 goals in 51 appearances and was part of their 2023 Israeli Super Cup title-winning squad.

April 2024 saw him join USG where he went on to score two goals and create three assists in 47 appearances in the 2024-25 season, which saw USG win the Belgian Super Cup and Belgian Pro League Champions’ Play-Offs.
