Gillingham have signed 18-year-old winger, Sheldon Kendall on a season-long loan from Millwall.

Kendall’s arrival at Priestfield Stadium marks his first professional loan spell away from Millwall, having made three senior appearances for the Lions, of which his first first-team outing came in January 2025 in a FA Cup victory over Dagenham & Redbridge at the third round stage as a late substitute for Mihailo Ivanovic.

His other two appearances came in the first two rounds of last season’s Carabao Cup as Millwall won 1-0 at Newport County then beat Coventry 2-1 at home, meaning that he is yet to suffer defeat competitively at professional level.

Millwall manager, Alex Neil has now decided that now is the ideal stage in Kendall’s development to send him out on loan to Gillingham, with the youngster excited to show his versatility in his first interview as a Gills player.

“I can’t wait to get started. I can play either side, I’m very direct and I look to take people on.

“I’m looking forward to showing the fans what I can do.”
