England goalkeeper, Hannah Hampton has signed a new two-year contract at Chelsea until June 2028.
Since Hampton’s move to the Blues from Aston Villa in 2023, she has kept 30 clean sheets in 79 appearances across all competitions and helped them to the following five titles;
- 2 x Women’s Super League (2023-24, 2024-25)
- 2 x Women’s League Cup (2024-25, 2025-26)
- 1 x Women’s FA Cup (2024-25)
Hampton also claimed the Golden Glove award in the last two WSL seasons.
Following confirmation of her new contract, Hampton explained that she is “really happy” to commit her future to the Blues for two more seasons
“Chelsea have always been my dream club to play for in England so to be able to extend for another two years is a proud moment.
“When I moved to London from the Midlands, it was my first time moving away from home and everyone at Chelsea made it feel like a home away from home and somewhere I have been able to grow not only as a player but as a person.
“I don’t want that journey to stop and I want to continue to grow more and learn more as a person.
“I am happy and I know there is so much more I can achieve and so much more as a team we can achieve. I am going to do everything I can to help Chelsea get back to being as successful as we have been in the past.”
27 of Hampton’s 29 international appearances for England were made during her time as a Chelsea player so far, and she was the first-choice goalkeeper as the Lionesses successfully defended their UEFA Women’s Euro title last summer, which earned her a spot in the Team of the Tournament XI.
She also received the 2025 Women’s Yashin Trophy for her successful 2024-25 season.
