BBC and ITV have confirmed their UK broadcast picks of the semi-final stage at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
BBC held first pick at this stage and have naturally selected England’s blockbuster showdown against Argentina as their pick, with the tie scheduled to be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, USA, on Wednesday 15 July at 3pm EDT (8pm BST),
Coverage of the match will commence at 7pm BST live on BBC One with a hour-long buildup ahead of kick-off.
England came from behind to beat Norway in extra time through Jude Bellingham’s brace to secure their spot in the last four with a 2-1 comeback victory, whilst Argentina likewise needed extra time as they battled to a 3-1 win over ten-men Switzerland.
ITV consequently were left with the opening semi-final between France and Spain on Tuesday 14 July at AT&T Stadium, Arlington, USA, at 2pm CDT (9pm BST), with their coverage commencing a hour earlier at 1pm EDT (7pm BST).
France clinically dispatched Morocco 2-0 in their Quarter-Final tie through second-half goals from Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele.
Spain meanwhile needed a 88th-minute winner from Mikel Merino on the rebound to beat Belgium 2-1 in their Quarter-Final clash, after Fabian Ruiz’s opener was cancelled out by Charles De Ketelaere’s header.
