Bromley have signed midfielder, Kamil Conteh from Bristol Rovers for an undisclosed transfer fee.

Conteh’s move to the League Two champions comes after a two-and-a-half year spell at Bristol Rovers in which he scored two goals in 73 appearances, and missed the second half of the 2024-25 season due to a foot injury as the Pirates suffered relegation to League Two.

Last season saw Conteh join Lincoln City on loan in January but he only managed a single appearance for the Imps as a second-half substitute in a 2-0 final-day win at relegated Port Vale, following Lincoln City’s promotion to the Championship which was confirmed in early April.

Rovers manager, Steve Evans subsequently decided to make Conteh available for transfer which led Bromley to sign him for an undisclosed fee, in-turn marking a return to his home city for Conteh who was born in Lambeth, London, as he became the Ravens’ first signing this summer.

Conteh will wear the number 22 shirt this season at Bromley and is now excited to start training with his new teammates.

“I can’t wait to train as well and get to know the boys even more. I’m looking forward to getting going.”

Conteh began his career in Crystal Palace’s youth academy before he joined Lambeth Tigers, prior to a move to Watford where he made his senior debut in a 4-1 third-round defeat against Leicester in the 2021-22 FA Cup.

That outing proved to be his sole appearance for the Hornets as he subsequently spent the remainder of that season on loan at Braintree Town with one goal in 10 appearances.

He proceeded to join Middlesbrough but failed to make a single senior appearance and instead got loaned out to Gateshead, where he managed four goals in 42 appearances in the 2022-23 season before he was sold by Boro to Grimsby in July 2023 but he failed to find the net in 29 appearances for the Mariners.
