BBC and ITV Announce UK Broadcast Picks for Quarter-Finals of 2026 FIFA World Cup

BBC and ITV have announced their UK broadcast picks for the Quarter-Finals stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. 

ITV held first overall pick in this round and selected England’s tie against Norway as their main pick which is scheduled for Saturday 11 July at 10pm BST, with coverage underway from 8:45pm on ITV1 after Norway defeated Brazil and England stunned Mexico in the Round of 16 to set up their clash.

The broadcast will be preceded by a ten-minute preview of a new reality format titled The Box at 8:35pm, which is hosted by former footballer and Match of the Day presenter, Gary Lineker.

ITV also selected the opening Quarter-Final tie between France and Morocco at Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, on Thursday 9 July at 9pm BST, with build-up coverage commencing one hour earlier at 8pm ahead of the rematch of their semi-final encounter in 2022 which France won on that occasion.

BBC held third pick which meant that ITV were left with the fourth and last pick, which will see them show coverage of the last Quarter-Final tie between Argentina and Switzerland at 2am BST on Sunday 12 July live from Arrowhead Stadium, Kanas City, USA.

BBC’s third pick saw them select a tasty all-European tie between Spain and Belgium on Friday 10 July at 8pm live from SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, USA, with the Salford-based coverage commencing at 7:30pm.
