Brentford look to keep their European dreams firmly alive against London rivals, Crystal Palace. 

Victory could see Brentford climb to seventh if Brighton lose at Leeds, whilst Palace can climb as high as 13th with a win.

Brentford have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 3-0 loss at Manchester City last weekend.

Rico Henry (hamstring), Fabio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo (all ACL) remain sidelined

Palace too have no fresh injury concerns following their 3-0 midweek loss at Man City.

Borna Sosa (knock) and Evann Guessand (knee) face late fitness checks, but Cheick Doucoure (knee) and Eddie Nketiah (hamstring) remain sidelined.

• Palace have conceded three goals in three of their last four matches (D1, L3), except for a 2-2 draw at home against Everton.

 

Prediction

Brentford should feel frustrated to have not snatched a draw at Man City because they played well but were just outclassed in the second half amidst controversial VAR decisions against them, but they now need to focus because they must win this if want to stay in the hunt for an European spot on the final day.

Palace meanwhile are currently in a phase where Oliver Glasner is managing his players’ game time ahead of the UEFA Conference League Final on 27 May, but there is no doubt that they’re still leaving their maximum on the pitch despite a tough defeat at City.

Although Palace know that London pride is at stake here, Brentford also have the additional motivation of keeping their European dreams alive which I think will be the difference in the closing stages.
