2025-26 Premier League: Week 36 – Tottenham vs Leeds

Tottenham continue their fight for Premier League survival against Leeds.

Victory will move 17th-placed Tottenham four points clear of the relegation zone, whilst Leeds can climb as high as 13th with a win.

Team News

Rodrigo Bentancur is available for Tottenham despite having suffered fatigue during their 2-1 victory at Aston Villa last weekend.

Richarlison is also expected to feature despite having suffered a knock at Villa Park.

Guglielmo Vicario (hernia), Ben Davies (ankle), Mohammed Kudus (quad), Dominic Solanke (hamstring), Xavi Simons, Wilson Odobert (both ACL), Cristian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski (both knee) are still ruled out.

Leeds will be without Noah Okafor for this game and their home clash against Brighton on 17 May, after the Danish forward suffered a calf strain.

Pascal Struijk (hip) is a doubt but Gabriel Gudmundsson (hamstring) and Ilia Gruev (knee) are still absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Tottenham host Leeds at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday 11 May at 8pm BST, live on Sky Sports Main Event and Premier League channels.

Stat Attack

  • Tottenham have lost just one of their last 12 league meetings against Leeds (W10, D1, L1).
  • Leeds have lost their last six league visits to Tottenham (L6).
  • Spurs have kept one clean sheet in their last six meetings against Leeds (W5, L1).
  • Tottenham have won just two of their 17 league matches at home this season (W2, D5, L10).
  • Noah Okafor has scored four goals in three of Leeds’ last four league matches.

Prediction

Now out of the relegation zone after a clinical first half at a lacklustre Villa despite becoming more wasteful as that match wore on, Tottenham need to focus on their own business because this is a big opportunity to open a four-point gap on West Ham heading into the final two games of the season.

Leeds meanwhile are now safe after the Hammers’ defeat against Arsenal but that now could make them more dangerous given their league form lately, especially given how clinical and dominant they were against Burnley and this could be a chance for them to have a say in Tottenham’s fate.

It is also worth acknowledging that Leeds go to West Ham on the final day and with the Hammers having the more favourable penultimate fixture than Spurs, this is a must-win for Tottenham because if they don’t then they could be going to Chelsea on 19 May back in that bottom three if West Ham win at Newcastle two days earlier.

I therefore expect plenty of urgency and attacking intensity from Spurs to give themselves breathing space and pile all the pressure on West Ham, but Leeds should have enough quality to grind out a point even without Okafor as this is a free hit for them now.

Prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Leeds

Result: Tottenham 1-1 Leeds
