Sky Sports Renew F1 Contract in UK, Ireland and Italy

Sky Sports have renewed their F1 broadcasting rights across UK & Ireland plus Italy with new five-year contracts.

Sky’s current contract in the UK and Ireland was set to expire at the end of the 2029 season, but the broadcaster has agreed a new five-year contract extension until the end of the 2034 season.

Italy likewise has been given a five-year renewal of their current contract which will now expire after the 2032 season, with Sky set to continue showing every F1 session across each race weekend in both territories, alongside showcasing F1 Kids for youth audiences.

Sky have also agreed to continue making highlights of every race plus live coverage of the British Grand Prix available free-to-air in the UK, whilst the same will be applied in Italy where TV8 will be their free-to-air partner with the Italian Grand Prix aired live.

F1 President and CEO, Stefano Domenicali has welcomed Sky’s latest renewals as he praised their “dedicated, trusted, and passionate” partnership for the sport’s growth within the three countries.

“Their world leading approach to live broadcasting, content creation, and behind-the-scenes analysis led by a truly amazing group of on-screen talent has made the difference in continuing to grow our sport in the UK, Ireland, and Italy and I am delighted we will be taking our partnership into the next decade.”
