2025-26 UCL Semi-Finals: First Leg – PSG vs Bayern Munich

Reigning champions, PSG meet Bayern Munich in the first leg of their 2025-26 UEFA Champions League semi-final.

PSG clinically dispatched Liverpool in their Quarter-Final tie to extend their title defence into this stage, whilst Bayern overcame Real Madrid in a blockbuster clash to secure their spot in this semi-final tie.

Team News

Vitinha is a doubt for PSG after he sat out their last two domestic matches with a heel injury.

Quentin Ndjantou (hamstring) remain absent.

Bayern Munich could welcome Sven Ulreich back into contention after a month out with an adductor injury.

Raphael Guerreiro however misses out after he suffered a hamstring injury during their 4-3 Bundesliga victory at Mainz 05.

Tom Bischof (calf), Serge Gnabry (adductor) and Lennart Karl (thigh) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

PSG host Bayern at Parc Des Princes on Tuesday 28 April at 9pm CEST (8pm BST), live on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.

Stat Attack

Prediction

Still in their fiercely strong knockout groove within this competition, PSG will be favourites if they produce another robust defensive yet clinical attacking display, which saw them comfortably dispatch Liverpool and Chelsea without conceding in their last three games in Europe.

Bayern Munich though are a strong attacking team despite their defensive vulnerability which saw them stage a 4-3 comeback at Mainz on Saturday from 3-0 down at half time, so I expect them to pose serious issues for PSG’s defence every time they break forward.

Bayern also can take heart from their successful last two visits to PSG but I do think that this tie will still be in the balance come the second leg.

Prediction: PSG 1-1 Bayern Munich

Result: PSG 5-4 Bayern Munich
