Bayern Munich host PSG in the second leg of their 2025-26 UEFA Champions League semi-final tie.
Trailing 5-4 on aggregate, Bayern must win by a two-goal margin at minimum if they’re to qualify for the final on Saturday 30 May.
PSG meanwhile will advance if they avoid defeat but a loss by an one-goal margin would send the tie to extra time and potentially penalties.
Team News
Bayern Munich could welcome Raphael Guerreiro (hamstring) and Lennart Karl (thigh) back into contention.
Serge Gnabry (adductor) remains absent.
PSG will again be without Achraf Hakimi after he suffered a hamstring injury in the first leg, which saw him miss their 2-2 draw against Lorient in Ligue 1 last Saturday.
Lucas Chevalier (thigh) and Quentin Ndjantou (hamstring) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Bayern Munich host PSG at Allianz Arena on Wednesday 6 May at 9pm CEST (8pm BST), live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Bayern Munich have lost two of their last eight Champions League meetings against PSG (W6, L2).
- PSG have won two of their seven previous Champions League visits to Bayern Munich (W2, L5).
- Bayern Munich have won each of their six Champions League matches at home this season (W6).
- Ousmane Dembele has scored twice in each of PSG’s last two Champions League matches (W2).
Prediction
Trailing on aggregate after a lively first leg but absolutely capable of producing a turnaround after resting several regulars in their 3-3 Bundesliga draw against Heidenheim, Bayern really need to try and score first but crucially tighten up defensively if they’re to isolate and frustrate PSG’s attack.
PSG though have it in their own hands and if they can score first, you have to think that this will be theirs to lose but their defence will have to be wary of Michael Olise and Harry Kane, as those two are going to be tough to deal with for 90 minutes especially on Bayern’s home turf.
Either way this second leg has a lot to live up to after a thrilling first leg and the first goal could be key, but I fancy Bayern to nick it in normal time to set up extra time before finishing the job with the energy of the home crowd behind them.
Prediction: Bayern Munich 3-1 (AET) PSG
