Wolves host relegation-battling Tottenham in a huge Premier League clash at the foot of the table.
Wolves are already relegated but can move off the foot of the table with a win by four goals or more, whilst Tottenham can climb out of the relegation zone with a win if West Ham fail to beat Everton.
Team News
Ladislav Krejci is a major doubt for Wolves after he suffered a neck injury during their 3-0 loss at Leeds.
Jose Sa (shoulder), Matt Docherty (knock) and Angel Gomes (foot/toe) are doubtful and face late fitness checks.
Sam Johnstone (shoulder), Yerson Mosquera (suspension) and Enso Gonzalez Medina (knee) remain ruled out.
Tottenham will be without Pape Matar Sarr due to a shoulder injury.
Destiny Udogie is also ruled out at Molineux due to a knock.
Guglielmo Vicario (hernia), Ben Davies (ankle), Mohammed Kudus (quad), Wilson Odobert (ACL), Cristian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski (both knee) are still ruled out.
When is Kick-Off?
Wolves host Tottenham at Molineux on Saturday 25 April at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Wolves are unbeaten in their last six meetings against Tottenham (W4, D2).
- Tottenham have won one of their last five league visits to Wolves (W1, D1, L3).
- Wolves have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five meetings against Tottenham.
- Wolves have won one of their five home matches against London-based opposition in the top flight this season (W1, D1, L3).
- Tottenham are yet to beat any of the three Midlands-based teams in this season’s Premier League (D1, L3).
Prediction
With relegation now confirmed, Wolves’ final five matches of the season are now free hits with no pressure on them so I expect them to just give it everything now, especially given their home record against Tottenham which is bonus motivation.
Tottenham meanwhile looked more energetic and threatening in their attacking play but to concede twice from in front in their 2-2 draw at home to Brighton was disappointing, especially as every point matters for them especially if West Ham keep matching or bettering their results.
The onus therefore is on Tottenham to get a result at Molineux but given their recent poor form in this fixture and no pressure on Wolves, I just feel that the hosts will snatch a point.
Prediction: Wolves 1-1 Tottenham
Result: Wolves 0-1 Tottenham
