2025-26 Premier League: Week 32 – Man Utd vs Leeds

Manchester United continue their push for a top-three Premier League finish against relegation-battling Leeds United.

Although Man Utd will stay third irrespective of the result, victory will move them 10 points of sixth-placed Chelsea and firmly on course to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League with a top-five finish.

Leeds will stay 15th irrespective of the result but a win will move them six points clear of the relegation zone.

Team News

Harry Maguire is suspended for Man Utd after he was red carded in their 2-2 draw at Bournemouth before the international break.

Lisandro Martinez could return after two months on the sidelines with a calf injury.

Patrick Dorgu (hamstring) and Matthijs De Ligt (back) are still ruled out.

Leeds will be without Anton Stach after he suffered an ankle injury during their FA Cup Quarter-Final victory at West Ham on penalties, having returned for that tie from a hip injury.

Joe Rodon is also sidelined after he too suffered an ankle injury during that match, but Noah Okafor (back) and Jaka Bijol (knock) both face late fitness tests.

Gabriel Gudmundsson will too face a late fitness check after a groin injury prevented his involvement in East London, which he had suffered whilst on international duty.

Dan James is ruled out after he didn’t even make the matchday squad against the Hammers due to an adductor injury.

When is Kick-Off?

Man Utd host Leeds at Old Trafford on Monday 13 April at 8pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Man Utd are unbeaten in their last ten league meetings against Leeds (W6, D4).
  • Leeds have drawn three of their last six visits to Man Utd (D3, L3).
  • Man Utd are yet to suffer a Premier League defeat at home to Leeds (W10, D5).
  • Man Utd have lost one of their four previous Monday Night Football (MNF) matches this season (W2, D1, L1), although their two wins both came away from Old Trafford.
  • Leeds have avoided defeat in their two previous MNF matches this season (W1, D1), albeit both games were against Everton; which saw them win 1-0 at home then draw 1-1 away.

Prediction

Having twice let a one-goal lead slip in their lively draw at Bournemouth, Man Utd now need to just stay focused and cut out the errors now as they are firmly on course for a top-five finish but the absence of Maguire’s leadership quality will be felt in this game.

Leeds meanwhile looked the more lively and clinically composed team for the majority of their FA Cup tie at West Ham until they conceded twice in injury-time, yet they got through on penalties but top-flight survival is now the big priority as they sit just three points off the drop.

Daniel Farke’s Whites also have an unfortunate injury crisis as a result of that match but if Okafor is fit enough to start, I do think that they will stand a chance of snatching a draw otherwise this will be an one-sided result, despite Man Utd’s poor MNF record at home this season.

Prediction: Man Utd 2-0 Leeds

Result: Man Utd 1-2 Leeds
