2025-26 Premier League: Week 32 – West Ham vs Wolves

West Ham face a relegation six-pointer showdown against Wolves as the 2025-26 Premier League run-in commences.

Victory would lift West Ham out of the relegation zone until at least Sunday afternoon, whilst Wolves will remain rock bottom regardless of the result.

Team News

Jean-Clair Todibo is a doubt for West Ham after he suffered a calf injury during warm-up for their 2-0 Premier League defeat at Aston Villa before the international break, which also saw him miss their FA Cup exit against Leeds on penalties last Sunday (5 April).

Alphonse Areola is available after he missed the shootout due to a minor ankle injury which saw him substituted in the 120th minute.

Crysencio Summerville (hamstring), Konstantinos Mavropanos (concussion), Aaron Wan-Bissaka (international duty) and Callum Wilson (knock) could return.

Lukasz Fabianski (back) remains sidelined.

Wolves could be without second-choice goalkeeper, Sam Johnstone due to a knock.

Enso Gonzalez Medina (knee) remains ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

West Ham host Wolves at the London Stadium on Friday 10 April at 8pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • West Ham have won three of their last five league meetings against Wolves (W3, L2).
  • Wolves have lost each of their last five visits to West Ham (L5).
  • West Ham have scored 12 goals and conceded one goal in their last five home games against Wolves.
  • Nuno Espirito Santo’s Hammers have won one of their last six league matches (W1, D3, L2).
  • Rodrigo Gomes has scored in two of Wolves’ last three matches.

Prediction

Now out of the FA Cup after a poor penalty shootout performance, West Ham now need to knuckle down because this is a big opportunity to move out of the bottom three but their overall display has to improve because they didn’t seem to click against Leeds until late in the second half.

Wolves meanwhile just need a miracle to stay up which really isn’t going to realistically happen but after three-and-a-half weeks off, it is hard to predict just how fast they will hit the ground running back in competitive action but they certainly have improved in attack before the break.

Espirito Santo’s Hammers though have already had a match to shake off the cobwebs and with key players returning, I just think that they have enough quality to nick this.

Prediction: West Ham 2-1 Wolves

Result: West Ham 4-0 Wolves
