Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa have discovered their knockout paths for the remainder of the 2025-26 UEFA Europa League season.
Vitor Pereira’s Forest beat Fenerbahce 4-2 on aggregate in the knockout play-offs despite having lost the second leg 2-1 at home last night (26 February), and will now meet Midtjylland in the Round of 16 – having lost 3-2 at home to them in the league phase.
Should Forest progress to the Quarter-Finals, they face either VfB Stuttgart or Porto for a semi-final spot which could see them meet Aston Villa if both teams get to that stage.
Villa meanwhile had a pass to the Round of 16 stage after they finished second in the league phase and will now face Lille in their Last 16 tie, with the winner meeting Bologna or Roma in the Quarter-Finals.
Across in the top half, top seeds – Lyon face Celta Vigo with the winner of that tie meeting Genk or SC Freiburg in the Quarter-Finals, before the winner of that last-eight tie face either Ferencvaros, Braga, Panathinaikos or Real Betis in the semi-finals.
