Leeds United host Premier League title chasers, Manchester City in a huge clash at Elland Road.
Victory will see Leeds stay 15th but can potentially move nine points clear of the drop if West Ham lose at Liverpool, whilst Man City can move to within two points of leaders – Arsenal.
Team News
Gabriel Gudmundsson is available for Leeds following his recovery from illness.
Noah Okafor (hamstring) remains absent.
Man City could welcome defender, Max Alleyne back into contention after he missed their 2-1 home win against Newcastle, having suffered a knock a fortnight ago during their FA Cup victory against Salford.
Jeremy Doku (muscle) could return if he passes late fitness checks but is unlikely to be risked until he is fully fit for selection.
Josko Gvardiol (leg) and Mateo Kovacic (foot) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Leeds host Man City at Elland Road on Saturday 28 February at 5:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Leeds have lost each of their last five matches against Man City (L5).
- Man City have claimed seven points in their last five visits to Leeds (W2, D1, L2).
- City have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three matches against Leeds.
- Leeds have lost one of their last six league matches (W2, D3, L1).
- Nico O’Reilly has scored three goals across both of Man City’s last two league matches (W2).
Prediction
Despite just two defeats in their last 14 league matches, Leeds have grinded out draws in three of their last five games which has left them six points above the drop so they ideally need a few more wins to be sure of survival, especially after they conceded a late equaliser at Aston Villa.
Man City meanwhile clinically took their chances in a close game against Newcastle and with Arsenal not playing until Sunday teatime, this is a chance for them to apply some psychological pressure if can win here.
Leeds though are a tough team to beat at the minute despite their habit to drop points because they are a pretty solid defensive unit, yet do have the quality and threats to snatch a result but I do think that City will have too much eventually.
Prediction: Leeds 1-2 Man City
Result: Leeds 0-1 Man City
