Stuttering Fleetwood Town entertain leaders, Bromley, in a big Sky Bet League Two clash.
Victory would see Fleetwood climb to 14th if Gillingham fail to win elsewhere, whilst Bromley will stay top irrespective of the result but a win could see them move as much as eight points clear if results elsewhere go in their favour.
Team News
Fleetwood have no fresh injury concerns to report after their 2-1 home defeat against Notts County last weekend.
Ronan Coughlan (Achilles), Lewis McCann (fibula), James Norwood (ankle), James Bolton, Jordan Davies, Denver Hume, Harrison Holgate (all knee) and Finley Potter (foot) remain absent.
Bromley will be without Zech Medley who is ineligible for this match, having joined on loan from Fleetwood towards the end of January.
Omar Sowunmi (shoulder) and Kyle Cameron (unspecified) are doubtful for selection after manager, Andy Woodman didn’t mention either player in his pre-match preview.
When is Kick-Off?
Fleetwood host Bromley at Highbury on Saturday 7 February at 3:01pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Fleetwood are yet to beat Bromley in the EFL (D2, L1).
- Bromley drew 0-0 in their only previous League Two visit to Fleetwood in October 2024.
- Fleetwood have dropped 17 points in their last seven matches (W1, D1, L5).
- Ben Thompson has scored four goals in Bromley’s last two matches (W1, D1).
Prediction
With four points in their last seven matches and sat 12 points adrift of the last play-off spot, this does feel like a must-win for Fleetwood but they need to cut out the defensive mistakes after their last four games finished in 2-1 results – of which they won just one of those matches.
Bromley meanwhile absolutely thrashed Gillingham in the first half before shutting up shop after their fourth with excellent game management, but there will likely need to be a tactical tweak if Sowunmi and Cameron both still out as Medley is ineligible which could impact their approach.
Nevertheless, this will be a tough test but I fancy Bromley to edge this on current form.
Prediction: Fleetwood 1-2 Bromley
Result: Fleetwood 1-2 Bromley
