Manchester United continue their top-four chase against Fulham at Old Trafford.
Victory would see Man Utd return to fourth for another matchweek, whilst Fulham will stay seventh if Brentford lose at Aston Villa – but a win would move the Cottagers to within one point of Utd.
Team News
Patrick Dorgu is ruled out for Man Utd after he suffered a hamstring injury during their 3-2 victory at Arsenal.
Joshua Zirkzee (muscle) could return but Matthijs De Ligt (back) is still ruled out.
Fulham will be without new signing, Oscar Bobb as he looks to build up his match fitness.
Samuel Chukwueze (personal) and Kenny Tete (hamstring) are doubts but Sasa Lukic (muscle) and Rodrigo Muniz (hamstring) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Man Utd host Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday 1 February at 2pm GMT, live on Sky Sports Main Event in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Man Utd have lost one of their last four league meetings against Fulham (W2, D1, L1).
- Fulham have won just one of their last 16 league visits to Man Utd (W1, D3, L12).
- Man Utd have won two of their last three meetings against Fulham by 1-0 results, whilst their recent clash earlier this season ended in a 1-1 draw.
- Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu have both scored in Man Utd’s first two matches under Michael Carrick’s interim reign as manager.
- Fulham have lost just one of their last eight league matches (W5, D2, L1).
Prediction
Still yet to lose under Carrick since his interim return, Man Utd definitely have found their attacking stride because they could of easily wilted away after a tough opening half-hour at Arsenal, yet they dug in and clinically took their chances but I expect them to be more dominant here.
Fulham though are in form and don’t seem too fazed when they fall behind because they dug in against Brighton and forced two costly mistakes from their defence, so they will surely feel confident that they can get something here if they can defend solidly and take their chances.
Their record at Old Trafford however is poor but they’ve been more than a match for Utd in their last two clashes and if add in their current form, I can see them grinding out another draw.
Prediction: Man Utd 1-1 Fulham
Result: Man Utd 3-2 Fulham
