Millwall defender, Kamarl Grant has joined Blackpool on loan until the end of 2025-26 season.
Grant’s loan comes after he spent the first half of this season with Millwall where he only managed one goal in four senior appearances, and sees him reunited with fellow ex Bromley loanee – Danny Imray after the pair played together for the Ravens last season, with Imray currently on loan from Crystal Palace.
Grant scored twice in 44 appearances on loan at Bromley in their first season in League Two, having previously helped them claim promotion via National League Play-Offs in his first loan spell in the second half of 2023-24 season.
Speaking to blackpoolfc.co.uk about his move, Grant explained that Head Coach, Ian Evatt persuaded him to join the Tangerines and feels that he can add extra quality as he acknowledged his learnings at Bromley.
“This is a huge Club with a big fan base, and I cannot wait to show what I can offer.
“Before joining, I had some really good discussions with the gaffer and he was really positive about the Club and what he thinks I can bring to the team. It made sense and it felt natural.
“I’ve learned a lot about myself over the past couple of years. I’m hoping my experiences in the early stages of my career can really help me here. I can’t wait to get started.”
Evatt added: “We’re pleased to welcome Kamarl to the Club. He provides different skillsets to the backline that we are maybe lacking in certain areas.
“He is extremely athletic and aggressive on the ball. He’s had a good loan at Bromley, and we’re hopeful he can come in and add something different to the squad.”
Grant could make his debut for Blackpool away at Barnsley in League One on Saturday 17 January at Oakwell in a 3pm GMT kick-off, before his home debut is set to be against Northampton Town on 24 January.
