Relegation-battling Crawley meet promotion-chasing Bromley in the final stand-out League Two match of 2025.
Victory could lift Crawley up to 19th if Barrow fail to win at Tranmere, whilst Bromley can go top with a win if Walsall fail to beat Oldham at home.
Team News
Harry McKirdy could start for Crawley after he made a substitute appearance in their 1-1 draw at home to Colchester on Boxing Day.
Max Anderson (thigh) and Danny Cashman (back) remain absent.
Bromley have no fresh injury concerns to report after their comeback win at Bristol Rovers, with only Carl Jenkinson still sidelined with a hip injury.
When is Kick-Off?
Crawley host Bromley on Monday 29 December at Broadfield Stadium at 7:45pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Crawley lost 3-1 away in their only previous EFL meeting against Bromley earlier this month.
- Bromley are visiting Crawley for the first time in a league match, although they won 4-0 in 1996-97 FA Cup’s Second Qualifying Round then lost 1-0 in First Round of 2007-08 FA Trophy in two previous visits.
- Kabongo Tshimanga has scored in two of Crawley’s last three home games (D3).
- Bromley have failed to keep clean sheets in three of their last six away games (W4, L2).
Prediction
Winless in their last seven games despite scoring in six of those matches, Crawley’s defence is its own worst enemy at times but they can take heart coming into this match from how well they frustrated Bromley in the reverse fixture a few weeks ago, especially with their energetic first half before losing 3-1 eventually.
Bromley though can’t afford to be as defensively lax as they were in that first half at home never mind at Bristol Rovers a few days ago, because Andy Woodman was right that they “got out of jail” in their second-half comeback but one day their sloppy opening half approach will cost them a win.
On that note, I do expect a serious reaction from Bromley but Crawley now will expect Woodman’s Ravens to crank up their attacking intensity in the second half, so I expect them to make some tactical tweaks to ensure that they can go toe-to-toe with them across the entire ninety minutes physicality wise.
Bromley though do have enough goalscoring threats across the pitch to grind this out but Crawley won’t make it easy given their five-match unbeaten home run.
Prediction: Crawley 1-2 Bromley
Result: Crawley 1-3 Bromley
