2025-26 UEFA Champions League: League Phase – Club Brugge vs Arsenal

Club Brugge face Arsenal in a league phase clash in the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League.

Victory could lift Club Brugge into the knockout play-off positions, whilst Arsenal will remain top for another matchweek with a win.

Team News

Romeo Vermant (concussion) is unlikely to be available for Club Brugge as he continues to obey concussion protocols following a collision in their Croky Cup win against OH Leuven.

Simon Mignolet (adductor), Nordin Jackers (rib), Kyriani Sabbe (groin), Jorne Spileers and Mamadou Diakhon (both illness) are doubts.

Ludovit Reis (shoulder), Lynnt Audoor (muscle) and Zaid Romero (back) are ruled out.

Arsenal have no fresh injury concerns to report after their 2-1 Premier League loss at Aston Villa, with Riccardo Calafiori set to be available as his suspension only applies to their next domestic match.

William Saliba, Leandro Trossard (both knock), Cristhian Mosquera (ankle), Gabriel (adductor) and Kai Havertz (knee) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Prediction

With just one win in their five games so far, Club Brugge ideally need to win two of their last three matches if want a knockout spot but this is their hardest test so far, so a big defensive display and clinical finishing will be needed if want to stun the leaders.

Arsenal however should be a dangerous team with plenty of anger to channel into this game after a wasteful display at Villa where they just lacked their usual clean end product, whilst the defence couldn’t handle the agile movement and intensity in a rare off day so expect a reaction here.

Club Brugge therefore needs to nail their defensive play otherwise this could be an one-sided result.

Prediction: Club Brugge 0-3 Arsenal

Result: Club Brugge 0-3 Arsenal
