Tottenham Hotspur meet Slavia Prague in the league phase of 2025-26 UEFA Champions League.
Victory could put Tottenham into the top eight depending on results elsewhere, whilst Slavia Prague can move closer towards a late charge for a knockout play-off spot with a first win of the phase.
Team News
Destiny Udogie is unlikely to be available for Tottenham after he missed their 2-0 Premier League victory over Brentford due to a soft tissue injury.
Radu Dragusin (ACL), Kota Taki (foot), Yves Bissouma (ankle), James Maddison (ACL), Dejan Kulusevski (knee) and Dominic Solanke (ankle) are still ruled out.
Slavia Prague have no fresh injury concerns to report ahead of this match.
Filip Horsky, Petr Sevcik (both ACL), Dominik Javorcek (knee) and Oscar (muscle) are ruled out.
When is Kick-Off?
Tottenham host Slavia Prague at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday 9 December at 8pm GMT, live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- This is Tottenham’s first meeting against Slavia Prague in the Champions League, but have avoided defeat in four previous meetings which all came in the UEFA Cup (W3, D1).
- Slavia Prague are yet to win away at Tottenham (D1, L1).
- Tottenham have kept two clean sheets against Slavia Prague across their four previous meetings, which were by 1-0 results in their first two clashes in September 2006.
- Spurs have scored five goals at home without conceding in the league phase (W2).
- Slavia Prague are yet to win a league phase match this season (D3, L2), although two of their three draws ended in 0-0 results against Atalanta and Athletic Bilbao respectively.
Prediction
Coming into this match off the back of a clinical win against Brentford where they looked more aggressive and energetic than in some of their recent performances, Tottenham need to use that base as a chance to keep building in a busy month by putting in another ruthless display.
Slavia Prague meanwhile ideally need to win here to stand any chance of progressing to the knockout stages but with no goals in their last four league phase games, they ideally need to score first to have any chance of getting the victory.
I however just don’t see Spurs losing this and am expecting a routine performance.
Prediction: Tottenham 3-0 Slavia Prague
Result: Tottenham 3-0 Slavia Prague
