Brighton & Hove Albion meet West Ham in the first match of a Super Sunday double-header.
Victory would lift Brighton up to fifth in the table, whilst West Ham can move out of the relegation zone and as high as 16th with a win.
Team News
Yasin Ayari is a doubt for Brighton after he missed their 4-3 loss to Aston Villa due to a muscle injury.
Stefanos Tzimas however is ruled out indefinitely after he suffered a knee injury during that match.
Kaoru Mitoma (foot) and Georginio Rutter (head) could return but James Milner (muscle), Solly March and Adam Webster (both knee) remain sidelined.
West Ham will be without Igor Julio who is ineligible to feature against his parent club.
Crysencio Summerville (knock) and Lucas Paqueta (suspension) could return but Oliver Scarles (collarbone) and Lukasz Fabianski (back) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Brighton host West Ham at AMEX Stadium on Sunday 7 December at 2pm GMT, live on Sky Sports Premier League in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Brighton have lost just one of 16 previous Premier League meetings against West Ham (W7, D8, L1).
- West Ham have won just one of their eight previous Premier League trips to Brighton (W1, D2, L5).
- Ex Hammer, Mohammed Kudus scored in West Ham’s two meetings against Brighton last season.
- Danny Welbeck has been involved in more league goals this season than any other Brighton player, having netted seven goals in 14 appearances.
- Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been booked in West Ham’s last two away games (D2).
Prediction
Having spectacularly allowed victory to escape their clutches from 2-0 up against Villa with a sloppy defensive switch off, Brighton really need to manage the game better because they controlled the first half-hour brilliantly yet just seemed to lose focus and failed to get much grip until too late.
West Ham meanwhile certainly scrapped defensively against Utd in what was a pretty evenly-balanced game and will need more of the same plus a clinical finish if want another rare win away at the Seagulls whose ground has often been tricky for the Hammers in the Premier League.
Brighton though played 24 hours earlier than West Ham did in midweek and if they can maintain focus across the game whilst applying their intensity consistently, I fancy them to get the win here.
Prediction: Brighton 2-1 West Ham
Result: Brighton 1-1 West Ham
