PREMA have retained Sebastian Montoya for the 2026 F2 season.
Montoya stepped up to F2 this season and currently lies tenth in the drivers’ standings with a season-best finish of second having come at the Spanish Feature Race and British Sprint.
PREMA have consequently decided to retain the 20 year-old Colombian for a second season in F2, with Montoya “really happy” to stay with the team and build upon a solid rookie season.
“I think the work we have done this year has been incredible, we had some ups and downs, but the biggest thing has been the learning process and how we’ve merged together.
“The work combines really well, and in the end, we all have one goal. I think the mindset for next year is just to keep our head down, keep pushing, and see what it brings.”
PREMA Team Principal, Rene Rosin added: “We are thrilled to have Sebastian with us again in 2026. We are confident in his potential, and with the pace he has shown so far this year, we look forward to seeing him compete with more experience under his belt.
“This year, he proved his ability to learn and progress even in such a testing environment as in FIA Formula 2, and was a great team player all around.”
