2025-26 Premier League: Week 14 – Bournemouth vs Everton

Bournemouth face Everton in a mid-table midweek Premier League clash at Vitality Stadium.

Victory would lift Bournemouth up to seventh in the table, whilst Everton can climb to ninth with a win.

Team News

Lewis Cook is suspended for Bournemouth’s next three matches after he was sent off in their 3-2 defeat at Sunderland.

David Brooks and Marcos Senesi will too miss the match through suspension, having picked up their fifth bookings of the campaign on Wearside.

Ben Doak (hamstring), Ryan Christie (knee) and Matai Akinmboni (muscle) remain absent.

Everton have no fresh injury concerns following their 4-1 loss at home to Newcastle.

Idrissa Gueye (suspension), Merlin Rohl (hernia), Nathan Patterson (groin), Seamus Coleman and Jarrad Branthwaite (both hamstring) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Bournemouth host Everton at Vitality Stadium on Tuesday 2 December at 7:30pm, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Bournemouth have won six of their last eight league meetings against Everton (W6, L2).
  • Everton are winless in their last eight league visits to Bournemouth (D2, L6).
  • Bournemouth have kept clean sheets in two of their last three home games against Everton (W3), except for a 2-1 win in March 2024.
  • Andoni Iraola’s Cherries are looking to avoid going five league games without a win for the first time since March – April 2025.
  • Six of Everton’s 14 league goals this season so far were scored away from home.

Prediction

Having found themselves 2-0 up at Sunderland after 15 minutes, Bournemouth should of really used their experience to control the game defensively yet they somehow failed to maintain their intensity and allowed the Black Cats to complete their comeback.

Everton meanwhile were just an uncharacteristic defensive disaster from the get-go with far too many sloppy mistakes and poor goalkeeping from Jordan Pickford, so a huge improvement is imperative if they want to get back to winning ways.

Bournemouth however has been bit of a bogey club for them and if the Cherries start like they did at Sunderland but show more control, I fancy them to take the win.

Prediction: Bournemouth 2-1 Everton

Result: Bournemouth 0-1 Everton
