Oxford United host Ipswich Town in a massive clash at opposite ends of the Sky Bet Championship table.
Victory would lift Oxford Utd out of the relegation zone and up to 19th in the table, whilst Ipswich can move up to second with a win.
Team News
Cameron Brannagan is a doubt for Oxford Utd after he missed their 1-1 draw at Norwich due to a calf injury.
Brodie Spencer (foot) and Matt Phillips (thigh) are still sidelined.
Ipswich will be without midfielder, Jens Cajuste after he suffered an ankle injury during their 2-0 win at Hull.
Alex Palmer (calf), Harry Clarke (knee), Wes Burns, Conor Townsend (both ACL) and Sammie Szmodics (knee) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Oxford Utd host Ipswich at Kassam Stadium on Friday 29 November at 8pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Oxford Utd have lost one of their last eight meetings against Sheffield Utd (W2, D5, L1).
- Ipswich are yet to win away to Oxford Utd in a league match (D7, L5).
- Two of Oxford Utd’s last four home games against Ipswich ended in 0-0 draws.
- Oxford Utd have earned five points from three of their last four home matches (W1, D2, L1).
- Ipswich have won their last three away games (W3).
Prediction
Sat in the relegation zone and winless in their last four matches, Oxford Utd really need to start to put a winning run together but with one league win at home all season. they will need a clinical but solid defensive display if want to get a rare victory here after a lucky last-gasp draw at Norwich.
Ipswich meanwhile might of clinically won at Hull but for large parts of the game, they lacked much quality in their final touches despite control in possession so an improvement is needed in their end product, but I do expect them to dominate this game such is their better squad talent.
Oxford Utd though have been a bogey club for Ipswich but given their defensive fragility against the in-form Tractor Boys, I can see Ipswich ending their hoodoo.
Prediction: Oxford Utd 1-2 Ipswich
Result: Oxford Utd 2-1 Ipswich
