Polish-British racing driver, Roman Bilinski has graduated into F2 with DAMS for 2026 season.
Bilinski spent the recent season racing in F3 with Rodin Motorsport where he took one victory en-route to 11th in the drivers’ standings, of which he was the team’s highest-placed driver.
The 21-year-old has now decided to graduate into F2 after just a single season in the third-tier category, of which he is excited to take on a new series.
“Joining such a historic team as DAMS Lucas Oil is a real honour,” explained Bilinski. “Formula 2 is an incredible challenge, and I’m ready to give everything to represent the team at the highest level.
“I’ve learned a lot over the past few years and can’t wait to turn that experience into results on track. I’d like to thank DAMS Lucas Oil for giving me this opportunity and for their trust.”
DAMS’ Team Owner, Charles Pic added that Bilinski is the ideal fit for the team next season as he pointed to the youngster’s 2024 Formula Regional Oceania title as example of his talent.
“Roman brings a very balanced profile, quick, smart, and consistent. His success in Oceania confirmed both his potential and his professional approach. He joins DAMS Lucas Oil with great energy and a strong desire to progress.
“We’re looking forward to supporting him as he takes this important step in his career.”
Bilinski will partner Dino Beganovic who is returning to DAMS next season after he previously drove for the team in the final two rounds of the 2024 campaign, before he moved to Hitech GP this year for his full-time rookie campaign.
