With their World Cup qualification dreams now over after three disappointing performances following a bright opening match, Greece now can just play their game and try to defensively tighten up after they shifted three goals in each of their last three games.
Scotland meanwhile have an inferior goal difference to Denmark so a win is ideally imperative here if want to go into their home game against the Danish with confidence – where automatic qualification will be settled in a winners-take-all showdown.
Defeat here coupled with a Denmark win though would almost all but certainly condemn Scotland to a play-off spot given their inferior goal difference, so a clinical display is needed and I can see that happening if they can keep things tight defensively after they rode their luck at times against Belarus.
