Team News

Marc Guehi is a doubt for Palace after he suffered a knock in their 3-1 UEFA Conference League victory over AZ Alkmaar.

Rio Cardines missed that game due to an adductor injury and is again ruled out for this match.

Caleb Kporha (back), Eddie Nketiah (hamstring), Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure (both knee) remain absent.

Brighton could welcome Joel Veltman (calf) and Kaoru Mitoma (foot) back into contention.

Jack Hinshelwood (ankle), James Milner (muscle), Brajan Gruda (knee), Solly March and Adam Webster (both knee) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Palace host Brighton at Selhurst Park on Sunday 9 November at 2pm GMT, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.

Prediction

Definitely back to their best now following three clinical displays in the past week-and-a-half, Palace come into this M23 derby full of confidence and I don’t expect any less from them here because they have their confidence back which looks difficult to stop when on tune.

Brighton though were absolutely ruthless in a dominant win over Leeds which really could of been larger if not for moments of wasteful finishing, so I would like to see a more polished display but they will need to be just as robust defensively if want to keep Palace’s attack quiet.

That however is a tough ask but I expect a competitive scrap with Palace probably edging this if there is a winner here, otherwise it could be a point apiece.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 2-1 Brighton

Result: Crystal Palace 0-0 Brighton
