2025-26 Premier League: Week 10 – Tottenham vs Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur meet Chelsea in a massive Premier League encounter between the two London rivals.

Victory could lift Tottenham up to second until Sunday evening at least, whilst Chelsea can go as high as fourth with a win if Manchester United lose in the afternoon.

Team News

Archie Gray is again ruled out for Tottenham after he missed their Carabao Cup exit at Newcastle, due to a calf injury.

Guglielmo Vicario (unspecified), Cristian Romero (adductor), Destiny Udogie (knee) and Wilson Odobert (muscle) are set to return

Ben Davies (muscle), Yves Bissouma, Dominic Solanke (both ankle), Radu Dragusin, James Maddison (both ACL), Dejan Kulusevski (knee) and Kota Taki (foot) are still ruled out.

Chelsea will be without Liam Delap after the striker was red carded in their 4-3 Carabao Cup victory at Wolves on Wednesday evening.

Cole Palmer (groin), Benoit Badiashile (muscle), Levi Colwill (ACL), Dario Essugo (thigh) and Mykhailo Mudryk (suspension) are still sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Tottenham host Chelsea at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 1 November at 5:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Tottenham have won one of their last six league meetings against Chelsea (W1, D1, L4).
  • Chelsea have won five of their last six league trips to Tottenham (W5, L1)
  • Palmer has scored three goals in Chelsea’s last two visits to Tottenham (W2), although he misses this trip due to injury.
  • Mickey van de Ven has created more touches on the ball than any other Tottenham player this season (625).
  • No Chelsea player has attempted more shots in the league this season than Enzo Fernandez (14).

Prediction

Having seen their unbeaten away form ended at Newcastle where small defensive marking errors and a goalkeeping fumble from Antonin Kinsky proved costly, Tottenham now need to reset and rediscover their clinical touch which served them well at Everton last Sunday in the top flight.

Chelsea’s defensive fragilities are still a serious concern because from 3-0 up at half-time against Wolves, they really ought of controlled the second half better yet they switched off mentally and allowed their hosts back into the game whilst discipline is another ongoing concern.

Both teams therefore have work to do but I do think that Tottenham should have enough quality to snatch a point if can put Chelsea’s defence under serious pressure.

Prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Chelsea

Result: Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea
