Wrexham entertain league leaders, Coventry in a Halloween clash in the 2025-26 Sky Bet Championship.
Victory would lift Wrexham up to 11th in the table, whilst Coventry can move six points clear at the summit with a win.
Team News
Wrexham will be without Harry Ashfield after he suffered an ankle injury during training.
Danny Ward (elbow), Lewis Brunt (thigh), Andy Cannon (ACL) and Jay Rodriguez (leg) remain sidelined.
Coventry could welcome Victor Torp back after he missed their 3-1 win at home to Watford due to a minor calf issue.
Joel Latibeaudiere (knee) could make his first senior appearance of the season, whilst Oliver Dovin (ACL) and Jack Rudoni (shoulder/calf) remain absent,
When is Kick-Off?
Wrexham host Coventry at STOK Racecourse Ground on Friday 31 October at 8pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Wrexham have won just two of eight previous league meetings against Coventry (W2, D1, L5).
- Coventry have won one of four previous league visits to Wrexham (W1, D1, L2).
- Two of Wrexham’s four previous league games at home against Coventry ended in 3-1 results, of which both teams took one win apiece by that result.
- Wrexham have lost just one of their last five league matches at home (W1, D3, L1).
- Brandon Thomas-Asante has scored six goals in Coventry’s last four league matches (W4).
Prediction
Having produced a pretty lacklustre display in their Carabao Cup exit against Cardiff on Tuesday for no effort of their attacking resilience, Wrexham will be eager to produce a reaction here but their defending has to be better if want to stop the in-form Sky Blues.
Coventry meanwhile just continue to be an attacking nightmare for oppositional defences given how clinically they dispatched Watford in the first half, and it is hard to see them letting up if can limit Wrexham’s aerial play and dominate the game.
As much as I expect Wrexham to give Coventry a good battle, it is difficult to see them getting the win such is Coventry’s momentum at present.
Prediction: Wrexham 1-2 Coventry
Result: Wrexham 3-2 Coventry
