2025-26 Sky Bet Championship: Week 10 – Saturday

Coventry City host Blackburn Rovers in a huge Sky Bet Championship clash affecting opposite ends of the table.

Victory will return Coventry to the summit, whilst Blackburn can climb to 19th depending on results elsewhere.

Team News

Josh Eccles could return for Coventry after he missed their victory at Sheffield Wednesday due to a glute injury.

Oliver Dovin (ACL), Jack Rudoni (shoulder/calf) and Joel Latibeaudiere (knee) remain absent,

Blackburn have no fresh injury concerns to report following the international break.

Moussa Baradji (foot) and Adam Forshaw (muscle) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Coventry host Blackburn at CBS Arena on Saturday 18 October at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

With confidence and goals currently flowing, it is hard to see Coventry slipping up if they bring the same intensity and quality into this game because there is currently little that could stop them other than a below-par performance from themselves and tactically brilliant opponents.

I however don’t think Blackburn will be able to stop that run given their goalscoring issues and vulnerable defence, unless they go for a deep defensive play with a rapid counter-attacking pace which will be a tough ask for an entire match.

This will be one-sided so it’s a question of how long can Blackburn hold out before Coventry start delivering the goals.

Prediction: Coventry 3-0 Blackburn

Result: Coventry 2-0 Blackburn
