2025-26 Premier League: Week Seven – Wolves vs Brighton

Wolves host Brighton in a bottom-half Premier League encounter at Molineux.

Victory would lift Wolves off the foot of the table and high as 18th if Burnley lose at Aston Villa, whilst Brighton can move up to 10th if better Everton’s result.

Team News

Toti Gomes is a doubt for Wolves due to illness but will face a late fitness check.

Leon Chiwone remains absent with a knee injury.

Brighton could be without Kaoru Mitoma after he suffered a foot injury in their 3-1 victory at Chelsea.

Joel Veltman however is ruled out with a calf injury which he suffered during that game.

Jack Hinshelwood (ankle), Solly March and Adam Webster (both knee) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Wolves host Brighton at Molineux on Sunday 5 October at 2pm BST, live on Sky Sports Mix in the UK.

Stat Attack

Prediction

Having produced a gutsy display despite conceding a late equaliser at Tottenham, Wolves now must take the positives from that display and try to be more clinical because there is good attacking potential, yet let down by a defence which hasn’t exactly been solid this season.

Brighton meanwhile were pretty much outplayed in the first half at Chelsea yet took advantage of a red card to dominate the second half with more intensity in their attack, but this is a game which should suit them if can get at Wolves’ defence and avoid their own defensive lapses.

Goals however have proven hard for Wolves in the league this season unlike Brighton and that might just be the difference here.

Prediction: Wolves 1-2 Brighton

Result: Wolves 1-1 Brighton
