2024-25 Premier League: Week 10 – Wolves vs Crystal Palace

Wolves host Crystal Palace at Molineux as both teams fight for Premier League survival.

If Ipswich loses at home to Leicester, victory would lift Wolves out of the relegation zone.

Should Ipswich win their game then Palace will begin this match sat in the bottom three, although victory would lift them up to 15th if Everton taste defeat at Southampton.

Team News

Sam Johnstone could return for Wolves after he missed their last two matches with an adductor injury.

Mario Lemina (calf) is a doubt for selection.

Bastien Meupiyou (unspecified), Yerson Mosquera, Boubacar Traore (both knee), Hwang Hee-Chan (ankle), Sasa Kalajdzic and Enso Gonzalez (both ACL) remain sidelined.

Palace could be without midfielder, Adam Wharton after his groin injury flared up during their Carabao Cup win at Aston Villa in midweek.

Eberechi Eze and Jefferson Lerma are both doubtful due to having suffered hamstring injuries.

Cheick Doucoure (toe), Chadi Riad (knee), Chris Richards (hamstring), Matheus Franca (adductor) and Rob Holding (personal) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Wolves host Palace at Molineux on Saturday 2 November at 5:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Wolves have won one of their last seven league meetings against Palace (W1, L6).
  • Palace have won four of their last seven league trips to Wolves (W4, L3).
  • Wolves’ Matheus Cunha and Palace’s Eberechi Eze scored in both meetings between these two clubs last season.
  • Wolves have scored first in two of their last three home games (L3).
  • Palace’s last three matches have been settled by 1-0 results, with Oliver Glasner’s Eagles winning just one of those three games (W1, L2).

Prediction

Having fought back for a 2-2 draw at Brighton last weekend with two late goals in a performance where they had to defend a lot, Wolves should view this as a winnable game if can finally get some luck on their side.

Palace though have finally found some confidence with wins over Tottenham and Villa in the past week, especially at Villa where they were clinical with their two shots on target.

Both teams therefore should produce a good battle here but if Palace score first, I fancy them to have the edge.

Prediction: Wolves 1-2 Crystal Palace
