F3 Announce €1m Prize Fund

F3 have unveiled a €1m prize fund to support the top five-placed finishers in 2025 season if move up to F2 in 2026.

The prize fund is designed to support the top five finishers of the recent campaign in graduating into F2 for the 2026 season, and has been divided into five prize pots based on positions.

Should any of the top five finishers elect not to race in F2, the prize money will be passed on to the next highest-placed finisher in the championship who wishes to step up to F2.

F3 CEO, Bruno Michel explained that this new prize fund is designed to support young successful drivers in making the step up to F2 and build upon their learnings from their time in F3

“It is vital to support emerging talent on their road to Formula 1. Formula 3 is a fantastic training ground for these young racers to hone their skills to move up the pyramid, and this additional financial reward will help them to go even further in their efforts towards the pinnacle of motorsport.”

F1 President and CEO, Stefano Domenicali added that the “… one-million-euro prize fund is an important initiative that will further incentivise drivers and provide them with a very valuable and well-deserved reward for their success in the championship.”

Domenicali also reinforced that F3 is “a vital part” of the road to F1 in training drivers seeking an eventual move into the top tier of motorsport.

“The FIA Formula 3 Championship continues to be a vital part of the pyramid system, which provides the drivers with the essential technical, physical, and mental training to rise through the championships on their journey to the highest level of our sport.”
