Bulgaria’s Nikola Tsolov has graduated to F2 with Campos for the 2026 season.
Tsolov took three pole positions plus two wins – including his feature race victory at Monaco – en-route to second in the drivers’ standings in F3 this season, having switched from ART GP to Campos after he became part of Red Bull’s Junior Team.
The Spanish team have now elected to retain Tsolov for his move up to F2 next season, thereby marking the third category that Campos will run Tsolov, having previously ran him in 2022 Spanish F4 which saw him clinch the title in their car.
Tsolov is “very happy” to graduate into F2 with Campos which he considered to be “the next logical step” in his career.
“We have worked together both F4 Spain and FIA Formula 3 and we have won in both championships, which undoubtedly gives me maximum confidence for next year. We are one step closer to the dream and I will try harder than ever to achieve the best possible results.”
Campos Team Principal, Adrian Campos added that the team “are very proud to be able to continue working for another year with Nikola, a driver who can be said to be ours because he took his first steps in single-seaters with Campos Racing.”
He proceeded to reflect on Tsolov’s form under Campos as he continued: “In the two years he has driven one of our cars he has been champion and runner-up, which are undoubtedly excellent credentials of his talent.
“A Formula 2 car is, of course, another level. But, despite his youth, he is a driver who already has a great deal of experience in single-seaters, he is endowed with great maturity and we are sure that he will also leave his mark on FIA Formula 2.”
Tsolov’s teammate will be announced in due course.
