Brighton & Hove Albion have signed midfielder, Fuka Tsunoda from Urawa Reds for an undisclosed transfer fee.
Tsunoda’s sees her reunited with fellow ex Urawa Reds teammate, Kiko Seiko who joined Brighton in July 2024 and went on to score six goals in 21 appearances across all competitions.
Brighton’s Head Coach, Dario Vidosic is pleased to bring in Tsunoda to bolster his midfield options following four exits over the summer.
“We’re delighted to bring Fuka to the club. She has got good experience in a competitive league in Japan and has been playing regularly for Urawa this season.
“She will improve our midfield options and we’re looking forward to working with her.”
Tsunoda made her senior debut for Urawa Reds in October 2021 and went on to help the Japanese club clinch two WE League titles plus Empress’s Cups and 2022-23 WE League Cup title.
