2025-26 League One: Week Three – Bradford vs Luton

Bradford City meet Luton Town at Valley Parade in a stand-out League One encounter.

Victory will see Bradford climb into the top six, whilst Luton could go top with a win if results elsewhere go in their favour.

Team News

Bradford have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 2-1 Carabao Cup victory at Blackburn.

Neill Byrne (unspecified) and Andy Cook (ACL) remain absent.

Luton will be without Reuell Walters due to a groin injury which forced him to sit out their Carabao Cup exit at Coventry.

Hakeem Odoffin (unspecified) and Tahith Chong (groin) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Bradford host Luton at Valley Parade on Saturday 16 August at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

Having adapted well to life back in League One, this is surely Bradford’s toughest test yet but the Bantams can take heart from how well they’ve started two of their last three games in all competitions, as they will need a similar start if want any real shot at victory given their form against Luton.

Matt Bloomfield’s Hatters though have proven defensively resilient in the first half across their three games in all competitions so far, which should stand them in good stead to try and nullify Bradford’s fast starts before kicking on in the second half.

I however do think that Bradford have enough quality to grind out a draw here unless Luton can produce another smash-and-grab result.

Prediction: Bradford 1-1 Luton

Result: Bradford 2-1 Luton
