Frederic Vasseur has signed a new multi-year contract as Ferrari Team Principal.
Vasseur arrived at Maranello in 2023 and has since overseen six Grand Prix victories; including a memorable one-stop victory at their home event at Monza, Italy in 2024, whilst they won their first F1 sprint in China this season with Lewis Hamilton.
In Vasseur’s first season, Ferrari missed out on second in the constructor standings to Mercedes by just three points but managed to finish runner-up last season, albeit after more heartbreak as they missed out on to the title to McLaren by 14 points in Abu Dhabi.
Ferrari now currently sit second in the constructors’ standings this season – albeit with a 268-point deficit to McLaren but are confident that Vasseur can lead them forward into the new era of F1 technical regulations, which the Frenchman is proud to be entrusted to do.
“I’m grateful for the trust Ferrari continues to place in me. This renewal is not just a confirmation — it’s a challenge to keep progressing, to stay focused, and to deliver.
“Over the past 30 months, we’ve laid strong foundations, and now we must build on them with consistency and determination. We know what’s expected, and we’re all fully committed to meeting those expectations and taking the next step forward together.”
Ferrari CEO, Benedetto Vigna added: “Today we want to recognize what has been built and commit to what still needs to be achieved. It reflects our trust in Fred’s leadership — a trust rooted in shared ambition, mutual expectations and clear responsibility.
“We move forward with determination and focus, united in our pursuit of the level of performance Ferrari has to aim for.”
