Frappart Appointed Referee for UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 Final

French referee, Stephanie Frappart as been appointed as the ref for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 Final. 

Frappart had taken charge of three matches across the tournament, including Switzerland’s comeback 1-1 draw against Finland in their final Group A match plus Italy’s Quarter-Final victory over Norway.

The 41-year-old also took charge of Germany’s 2-0 victory over debutants, Poland in their Group C opener but wasn’t selected for the second round of group matches, nor the semi-finals.

UEFA however have entrusted Frappart to referee the final between England and Spain on Sunday 27 July at St Jakob-Park, Basel, Switzerland, in a 6pm CEST (5pm BST) kick-off.

Speaking about her appointment as the referee for the final, Frappart expressed her pride at being selected by UEFA for the showpiece match.

“I’m very pleased to have been selected to referee the Women’s EURO final. It’s a big honour and a proud moment at the end of a wonderful tournament.”

UEFA Refereeing Director, Roberto Rosetti added: “We are satisfied with the performances of the referees at this tournament. The female referees have made a huge step forward in terms of physical preparation and the quality of officiating.

“Stéphanie Frappart deserves this appointment as she is a role-model for the young generation of female referees due to her professionalism and attitude on and off the pitch.”
