National League’s Hartlepool United have signed defender, Bes Topallaj on loan from Bromley until January 2026, with an option to make the move permanent.
Topalloj was part of Bromley’s historic promotion-clinching team in 2023-24 season but struggled to establish himself in the EFL last season, as he managed just seven appearances in all competitions before he was loaned out to Sutton United where he managed one goal in 25 appearances.
Following his return to Bromley for pre-season, Topallaj struggled to earn his place back within the first-team and has now accepted a six-month loan move to Hartlepool until January 2026, with an option to make the move permanent in January’s transfer window.
Topallaj is excited to make his move and is eager to get started with the Pools.
“It feels great to be here, it is such a big Club. The fans – if you’re playing for them – I’m sure that’s a great feeling. I cannot wait to get started.”
Hartlepool manager, Simon Grayson added: “Bes has great experience playing in the National League for both Bromley and Sutton.
“He is a player who is very comfortable anywhere on the left-hand side of the team, something that will boost us massively.”
Topalloj began his career at Millwall and spent time on loan at Dagenham & Redbridge before he joined Bromley in December 2022 on an initial one-month loan, which became permanent a month later and he went on to become part of the Ravens’ team which won promotion to the EFL in May 2024.
Should Topalloj complete a permanent transfer in January, he would leave Bromley having scored three goals in 74 appearances for Andy Woodman’s Ravens.
