Midfielder, Tom Cairney has signed a new one-year contract at Fulham until June 2026.

Cairney had been out of contract since 30 June but the 34-year-old had been in continuous negotiations over a new one-year contract, which has successfully concluded with the midfielder staying until the end of the 2025-26 season.

Whilst the final details were finalised and contract signed, Cairney was permitted to participate in pre-season training as players returned on Monday (13 July) and is now relieved to officially confirm his new deal as he explained to FFCtv that he felt “happy” to stay for a 11th season.

“I’m happy to sign for another year at this amazing football club, I’m delighted. It feels brilliant. It feels right. It’s always been home.

“I’ve fully enjoyed the last three years in the Premier League, contributing on and off the pitch, and I just want to help take this Club as far as I can. I’ll always try and do that.”

Vice-Chairman and Director of Football Operations, Tony Khan added: “I am delighted that Tom Cairney has signed an extension with Fulham and that he will play his 11th season with us, since joining in the summer of 2015.

“A leader on and off the pitch, Tom has been present at so many pivotal moments over the last decade, enjoying Play-Off promotions, scoring vital – sometimes spectacular – goals, and helping to cement our position in the Premier League.

“He is a great person who the fans, his teammates and all those associated with Fulham love, so I am very happy he’ll be with us for another season and that we can celebrate this remarkable tenure together as a Club.”

During his time at the Cottagers, Cairney scored 47 goals in 354 appearances and helped them twice win promotion to Premier League via play-offs in 2018 and 2020, as well as Championship champions in 2021-22 season.
