Premier League have announced UK TV broadcast picks across August 2025 on Sky Sports and TNT Sports.
The opening weekend fixtures selected for TV coverage across 15-18 August were announced when the season’s fixture list was announced, although Nottingham Forest’s home clash against Brentford was later picked up due to a switch to 17 August (2pm BST) due to a cricket clash.
Forest’s game against Brentford wasn’t originally picked for live coverage but under terms of the new contract, this is the first match moved from the traditional Saturday 3pm slot for non TV-related purpose to automatically be picked up for live broadcast on Sky Sports Premier League due to the slot change.
Chelsea’s home clash against Crystal Palace will consequently be only broadcast on Sky Sports Main Event (SSME), having initially been announced for both SSME and Sky Sports Premier League channels.
Forest’s trip to Crystal Palace on 24 August and home clash against West Ham on 31 August will air live on Sky Sports Premier League in the 2pm slot, whilst Brighton’s trip to Everton and home match against Manchester City will air exclusively on Main Event on the above dates.
Sky will show nine further matches across August on their Premier League channel – and Main Event for selected matches – including Newcastle’s home game against reigning champions, Liverpool, on Bank Holiday Monday 25 August at 8pm, followed by their trip to Leeds on Saturday 30 August at 5:30pm.
Liverpool’s clash against last season’s runner-up, Arsenal, will also be broadcast live on Sky on 31 August at 4:30pm, concluding a double-header that day which sees Manchester City visit Brighton in the 2pm kick-off.
TNT already have confirmed Villa’s home game against Newcastle on the opening weekend as their first pick of the season on 16 August, but have added Tottenham’s trip to Man City on 23 August plus Chelsea’s West London derby at home to Fulham on 30 August, with all three games kicking off at 12:30pm.
