Newport’s reward for beating Barnet in their preliminary tie is a home tie against Championship’s Millwall at Rodney Parade.
Across in the northern section, Accrington Stanley will play Peterborough at home after they overcame Oldham in their preliminary round tie.
Relegated Leicester will visit League One’s Huddersfield in the stand-out tie as two former Premier League teams meet in a tough-looking fixture.
Newly-promoted Birmingham City will host Ruben Selles’ Sheffield United in an all-Championship tie, with the Blades having lost last season’s play-off final to miss out on promotion to the top flight.
West Bromwich Albion will host Derby County in an all-Championship tie between the Midlands rivals at The Hawthorns.
Preliminary ties will be played across 5-6 August followed by first round fixtures a week later between 12-13 August, with winners advancing to the Second Round where the 11 Premier League clubs not qualified for European competitions enter – including Manchester United.
