2024-25 Premier League: Week 38 – Ipswich vs West Ham

Ipswich host West Ham on the final day of 2024-25 Premier League season.

Should Leicester lose at Bournemouth, victory will see Ipswich finish 18th in the table, whilst West Ham can finish 14th with a win if Wolves fail to beat Brentford.

Team News

Cameron Burgess is a doubt for Ipswich after he missed their 2-0 defeat at Leicester with a hamstring injury.

Sammie Szmodics (ankle) and Conor Townsend (hamstring) face late fitness checks.

Arijanet Muric (shoulder), Kalvin Phillips (Achilles), Jaden Philogene-Bidace (MCL), Wes Burns (ACL) and Chiedozie Ogbene (Achilles) remain ruled out.

West Ham have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 2-1 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest last weekend.

Crysencio Summerville (hamstring) and Michail Antonio (leg) remain ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Ipswich host West Ham at Portman Road on Sunday 25 May at 4pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

With Leicester facing a tricky trip to Bournemouth, Ipswich simply have to bring more intensity and clinical finishing than they did against the Foxes last weekend if want to finish above them and earn more prize money.

West Ham meanwhile just lacked the final polished touch on their end product until too late so I would like to see a more clean performance as they’ve improved their attacking intensity lately, whilst the chance to finish above Tottenham will also motivate them here.

Nevertheless this is a dead rubber but if West Ham do make those small tweaks to their final touches, I can see them taking a comfortable win.

Prediction: Ipswich 0-2 West Ham

Result: Ipswich 1-3 West Ham
