Anthony Completes Permanent Switch to Burnley

Jaidon Anthony has completed a permanent switch from Bournemouth to Burnley for an undisclosed transfer fee.

Anthony spent this season on loan at Turf Moor from Bournemouth but Burnley’s promotion triggered an obligation to buy clause, which has seen the 25-year-old complete a permanent transfer to the Clarets – for who he had scored eight goals and created seven assists.

Upon confirmation of his transfer, Anthony spoke of his joy at playing for Burnley this season and is eager to get next season underway, once he has enjoyed the off-season break.

“It’s been very good. I’ve really enjoyed this season on and off the pitch and it’s brought my smile back, for sure.

“I’ve really enjoyed playing again and getting so many minutes under my belt and contributing with goals and assists for the team.

“Time for a bit of down time now then we’re back in for pre-season and the hard work begins, let’s do it.”

Bournemouth issued a short statement wishing Anthony well and thanking him for his efforts at the club.

“Everyone at AFC Bournemouth would like to extend its best wishes to Jaidon and thank him for his efforts while at the club.”
