2024-25 Premier League: Week 34 – Wolves vs Leicester

Wolves look to continue their winning Premier League form against relegated Leicester at Molineux.

If Everton lose at Chelsea in the lunchtime kick-off, victory or a draw would lift Wolves up to 13th for at least 23 hours.

Leicester will remain second-bottom regardless of the result.

Team News

Wolves could welcome Jose Sa back into contention after a back injury in the warm-up forced him to sit out their 1-0 win at Manchester United last weekend.

Jean Ricner-Bellegarde (calf), Pedro Lima (ankle) and Hwang Hee-Chan (muscle) face late fitness checks.

Sam Johnstone (muscle), Yerson Mosquera (knee), Leon Chiwone, Sasa Kalajdzic and Enso Gonzalez (all ACL) remain sidelined.

Leicester will be without Stephy Mavididi after he suffered a muscle injury during their 1-0 loss to Liverpool on Easter Sunday.

Kasey McAteer (knock) could return but Harry Winks (personal) and Abdul Fatawu (ACL) remains ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Wolves host Leicester at Molineux on Saturday 26 April at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

With safety now assured and on a five-match winning streak, Wolves surely begin this match as favourites with confidence high especially after a gutsy defensive effort at Man Utd with a clinical free-kick winner.

Leicester though didn’t do too badly against Liverpool performance wise but a lack of clear-cut end product cost them on top of a brief yet costly marking error, so I do expect a response here if they can show more composure in the final touches even despite their poor record at Molineux recently.

I however don’t see Wolves losing this now that they’ve found form and Leicester’s defence is still beatable, but the Foxes should at least give a good fight.

Prediction: Wolves 2-1 Leicester

Result: Wolves 3-0 Leicester
